Pay Rate: £90 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in Derby, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs. Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where students can succeed. You ll assist in managing behaviour, delivering tailored interventions, and promoting positive social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
* Support Behaviour Plans: Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement and adapt behaviour support plans tailored to individual student needs.
* Deliver Interventions: Provide one-on-one and small group support to help students develop coping strategies, emotional regulation, and social skills.
* Promote Positive Behaviour: Model and encourage appropriate behaviour, helping students to engage positively with their learning and peers.
* Assist in Classrooms: Work alongside teachers to maintain a calm and inclusive classroom environment, supporting learning and behaviour management.
* Monitor Progress: Keep accurate records of student behaviour and progress, reporting regularly to staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach.
* Liaise with Professionals: Work with external agencies and school staff to ensure holistic support for students and their families.
Requirements of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
* Previous experience in a behaviour support or similar role is essential.
* A genuine passion for supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs.
* Strong communication, patience, and resilience.
* Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.
* Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or education are desirable.
