The Role
The Junior Merchandiser supports the merchandising team in planning and trading the range to maximise sales and profit. This role is responsible for ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time through accurate data analysis and stock management.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse weekly sales reports to identify the best and worst sellers.
* Manage the replenishment and allocation of stock to maintain the optimum inventory levels.
* Assist in the planning of the seasonal range and the creation of the buy plans.
* Monitor the critical path and liaise with the production team to ensure timely delivery of the stock.
* Prepare data for Monday trade meetings and present key findings to the team.
* Support the Merchandiser in managing the markdown process and the promotional activity.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Merchandising Admin Assistant or at a similar junior level.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to handle large data sets.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills to coordinate with the buying and warehouse teams.
* A commercial understanding of the fashion market and the customer trends.
