As a Mechanical Estimator you’ll join a rapidly expanding division with the opportunity to mentor and grow your team. You’ll work closely with the commercial team and directors reviewing and submitting tenders for large scale M&E packages on residential developments. Established over five years ago this M&E contractor has experienced rapid success and growth and is now expanding the team with the addition of a Mechanical Estimator. This is an office-based role where you’ll play a pivotal part in moving into leadership mentoring and expanding the team while directly influencing the company’s growth plans. It’s a prime time to join make a real impact and be recognised as a key and valued member of the business.
Your role as a mechanical estimator will include:
* Oversee and ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders for large-scale M&E packages on residential developments
* Update and advise the commercial team and clients on design changes, providing insight on potential cost or programme impacts
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and new suppliers to secure competitive pricing and best value
* Collaborate with the commercial team to develop accurate cost plans, pricing strategies, and bid submissions
* Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing
You will need:
* Proven experience working for and M&E Contractor in an estimating role
* Commutable to the office full time and happy to travel to sites on an as and when needed basis
* Looking to progress your career to a leadership position
