SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Stockport Pay: £90 - £95 per day (depending on experience) About the Role Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and work in secondary schools across the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCo team to provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your role will involve helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN. Assist with classroom learning and engagement. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals. Requirements Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based experience preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations. A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed. GCSE-level standard education.
