Are you ready to advance your career in smart factory engineering? We are looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our cutting-edge operations team at Collins Aerospace within our Power and Controls business unit. In this role, you will work directly with production teams and modern automation technologies to transform our shop floor into a fully connected, data-driven environment. This is a site level role supporting the HS Marston site. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across the site and enterprise to deliver intelligent systems, increase visibility, and enable data-driven decision-making across our operations. From deploying robotics to integrating MES/ERP platforms with real-time data pipelines, your work will drive the next generation of aerospace manufacturing.
What you will do:
1. Lead and supervise project teams of manufacturing engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
2. Oversee daily technical operations of Advanced Manufacturing equipment and systems on the manufacturing floor.
3. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to advanced manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
5. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement process improvements and support new product introductions.
6. Conduct inspections and maintenance of Advanced Manufacturing machines and equipment.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
8. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.
9. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and support strategic projects.
10. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to advanced manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

Education and Experience
29. A bachelor’s degree or higher education certificate is preferred.
30. Experience in a manufacturing or technical role, preferably in the aerospace or defence industry.
31. Proven experience in leadership of projects within a manufacturing environment.
32. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
33. Strong technical knowledge in FDM Additive Manufacturing.
34. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
35. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
36. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
37. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
38. Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required by the business.
