A leading Birmingham-based professional services firm is seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join its Corporate Department.
This is a newly created role designed to provide vital administrative support to senior team members, including partners and senior associates.
Based in the firm's central Birmingham office, the position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a fast-paced legal environment and develop professionally within a supportive and people-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality administrative support to senior lawyers within the corporate team
* Manage diaries and coordinate internal and external meetings
* Assist in the prioritisation of legal matters and workflow
* Use the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) to scan and share documentation with external clients
* Ensure all client and matter records are accurately maintained within internal systems
* Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as required
* Handle phone calls professionally, liaising with clients and colleagues
* Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments
* Perform a variety of admin-focused tasks including scanning, checking records and maintaining process compliance
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience in a professional services support or admin role (legal sector preferred)
* Strong interest in working within a law firm environment
* Familiarity with AML checks is advantageous
* Process-driven with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
* Comfortable managing phone communications in a professional setting
* Willingness to take initiative and a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving
