Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal at Blaircourt Pet Clinic, working alongside a six-vet Equine Practice, based in the Essex countryside in Woodham Ferrers.
About the Role
We are seeking a confident and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small & friendly team. This is a varied nursing role covering all aspects of general practice, including anaesthesia, surgical assistance, and nurse consultations. Being a small clinic this role will suit someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and their animals, as well as working well in a small team and being involved with all aspects of the daily running of the clinic.
About Our Practice
We are based in Woodham Ferrers, 6 miles from Chelmsford City Centre, within 30 minutes of Stansted Airport and 30 minutes by train to London. The practice is well equipped with digital X-ray, in-house blood facilities, multiparameter monitoring, and laser therapy. We take pride in providing a personal service to our loyal clients.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role where you will be working 40 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday (4 days 9am - 5pm & 1 day 10.30am - 6.30pm).
There is no small animal out of hours cover; however our current nursing team (equine & small animal) covers weekends for our Equine Practice on a rota currently 1 in 7. While equine experience is advantageous, candidates with no equine experience who are not able to join this rota will still be considered as part-time applicants.

Responsibilities
* Cover all aspects of general practice nursing including anaesthesia, surgical assistance, and nurse consultations
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their animals
* Contribute to the daily running of the clinic as part of a small team
Qualifications
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with the ability to work in a small-animal practice
* Experience in a general practice setting is beneficial
