In the case of this role, the expectation is that you are based in our London office every Tuesday and also visible for 2 other days of the week (of your choice), Monday to Friday. *What You Will Do:*
* Deliver exceptional service to High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) through tailored banking solutions.
* Build and manage a portfolio of clients, introducing new customers with bespoke deposit and lending arrangements.
* Network externally with introducers (accountants, solicitors, IFAs) and internally with colleagues across Commercial, Retail, and Specialist teams.
* Promote Metro Bank's Private Banking proposition, with an emphasis on growing relationships and client base through provision of first-class service.
* Take ownership of account opening processes, ensuring thorough due diligence and accurate documentation.
* Manage credit facilities, including monitoring, annual reviews, and addressing arrears promptly.
* Identify and mitigate risk at onboarding and throughout the relationship, liaising with internal risk teams.
* Act as the face of Private Banking internally and externally, proactively promoting the offering and driving business growth.
*What You Will Need:*
* Previous experience in top-end private banking, ideally with exposure to HNW clients and complex relationships.
* Experience in residential and buy-to-let mortgages, plus business and/or commercial banking.
* Proven track record of building and managing a portfolio of clients and delivering consistent career progression.
* Ability to create a business plan detailing how to bring in up to £15m of new to bank deposits, collectively across our personal and business banking offerings.
* Strong stakeholder management skills – both internal and external – with the ability to handle demanding relationships.
* Experience in due diligence and risk management, including the experience with clients linked to high-risk countries or industries.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Evidence of leadership, coaching, and development experience, including mentoring roles or external leadership positions.

*What You Will Do:*
* As a Private Banking Manager at Metro Bank you will provide an exceptional service to High Net Worth individuals (HNWI), focusing on relationship management and a tailored approach depending on the unique banking needs of the customer.
* You will bring in clients through new channels or via existing portfolios, building long term relationships that develop over time. This role will allow you to build your own portfolio of new clients as well as managing the day to day requirements of some existing ones.
* Introducing new customers with a mix of deposits and lending requirements which require unique banking arrangements
* Promoting an innovative brand of Private Banking in the high net worth community which focusses on customer service instead of products and investments is an exciting opportunity
* Supporting the Private Banking Director to surprise and delight clients and prospects in preparation of Credit applications.
* Building long term relationships with clients with a view to moving as much of their day to day banking as possible to Metro Bank
