Chapman Freeborn’s Cargo Sales team is seeking a Cargo Key Account Manager – Europe, based in our Gatwick UK office. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and grow with a global team.
We will provide training and industry know-how. Strong professional connections and customer relationship management skills are essential for success.
Purpose of Role
* Promote Chapman Freeborn to major clients and enhance revenue/GP through planning and implementation of a Key Accounts Commercial Strategy within Europe.
* Work closely with Europe country managers to align and coordinate operations and sales activities for the company's benefit and provide solutions for arising issues.
* Assist the Group by acquiring new Key clients and expanding existing customer business in Europe, collaborating with global teams and support teams in the region.
* Maximize business opportunities by offering tailored solutions to meet client requirements within budget and operational constraints while ensuring profitability.
* Achieve and maintain budgeted GP for the territory and key account portfolio.
* Meet KPIs and annual budget targets while controlling costs.
* Adopt a proactive sales approach and implement commercial initiatives.
* Explore new revenue streams through partnerships.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Create and implement a Key Account Strategy in Europe in collaboration with EU Cargo SVP/VPs.
* Drive business growth and support from Key Accounts, fostering customer loyalty.
* Develop account plans (ADP).
* Overhaul key account reporting with the COO for consistent insights and standards.
* Monitor progress monthly, report issues, and recommend actions.
* Champion key account issues internally and establish performance indicators.
* Maintain primary contact with customers on business matters, monitor performance, and address issues.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure continuous service and growth.
* Manage inquiries, tenders, and awards in collaboration with the cargo team.
* Ensure prompt response to tenders and quote requests.
* Delegate tasks and mentor team members as appropriate.
* Develop long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.
