Mechanical Project Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits + Profit-Related Bonus
Location: Derbyshire (office-based with occasional overseas travel)
Hours: Full-time | Flexi-time available

Our client is a leading international company providing bespoke engineered solutions across multiple industries. With manufacturing facilities worldwide, they design and deliver high-quality, custom-built products that meet exact customer specifications.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll report to the Projects Department Manager and take ownership of project planning, coordination, and delivery — ensuring all bespoke projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard.
This is an office-based role with occasional travel to customer and supplier sites in the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
Coordinate multi-disciplined design teams (mechanical, electrical, and production)
Oversee project strategy, scheduling, budgets, and reporting
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety, and quality expectations
Support continuous improvement across manufacturing and engineering processes About You:
HNC / Level 4 or above in Engineering (Degree desirable)
PRINCE2, APMP, or other recognised Project Management qualification
Experience working on large-scale mechanical, power, or oil & gas projects
Strong technical knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and workshop machinery
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A second language would be an advantage but not essential What's on Offer:
