Salary: £40,000 - £42,000
Hours: 38 hours based on double day shift
Overview:
We're working with a well-established and highly regarded engineering business that is actively seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for their milling machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC setter programmer or machinist to join a professional team within a modern, clean, and well-run facility.
Key Responsibilities of CNC Programmer:
* Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.
* Working with FANUC, Siemens, and G-code control systems.
* Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings.
* Setting tools, understanding cutting speeds and feeds, and carrying out boring, drilling, and threading operations.
* Ensuring high levels of accuracy and consistency while working to tight tolerances.
* Confident use of inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment.
Experience required for CNC Programmer:
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in CNC programming.
* Solid background in CNC milling operations.
* Preferably experience with CAD/CAM systems.
* Highly motivated, good communication skills, and effective team work.
* Proactive attitude, flexibility, and ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
* Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
Shift Details:
* Monday to Thursday 0600 - 1400 / 1400 - 2200
* Early finish Friday - 1200 / 1800
Overtime premium over 38 hours
