What you will do:
* Undertake timely Best Interests Assessments in line with the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS legislation.
* Complete high-quality, evidence-based assessments and reports.
* Manage a varied caseload, ensuring all work is prioritised effectively.
* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals and care providers.
* Contribute to maintaining internal assessment capacity, reducing reliance on external providers.
* Ensure practice is compliant with legal frameworks, local policy, and best practice guidance.
Requirements:
* Qualified Professional: Qualified Social Worker, Nurse, OT, or Psychologist with BIA qualification.
* Experience: Experience completing DoLS assessments within a local authority setting.
* Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
* Autonomous Working: Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
* Analytical Skills: Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with Liquid Logic or similar case management systems is desirable.
