About Us: I’m a 42-year-old mum living with fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, and type 2 diabetes, which means my abilities can vary day-to-day. My husband and our two boys are both on the spectrum, and the boys have very different needs which can sometimes be challenging. We also have a 9-year-old golden doodle, Bonnie, who can be nervous and will bark when you first arrive, but she soon calms with some love and fuss. Location: NR30 Job Description: This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting with: General housework and shopping Helping organise bedroom for my children Offering companionship and friendly company Supporting my two wonderful autistic boys (aged 3 & 5) both at home and on days out Any other reasonable duties as requested. Person specification Essential: Comfortable working in a home with a nervous dog The ideal candidate would require calmness, reassurance, caring, friendliness and patience. The person I employ, must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for my privacy. Enjoys working with children Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs. Knowledge, training, or experience with autism and understanding of fibromyalgia would be highly beneficial. Summary terms and conditions The pay rate for this position is £12.38 per hour for employed PAs and £14.94 per hour for self-employed PAs. Hours and times of work: 5 hours per week. Time discussed further at interview. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
