Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay engaged and focused on pre-prepared work. You will promote a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively. As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-set lessons and supervise pupils in the classroom. Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task with their learning. Manage behaviour in line with school policies. Encourage participation and provide guidance where needed. Support the wider school community as required. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Experience working with young people (desirable, not essential). Strong communication and behaviour management skills. Confidence in supervising a classroom environment. A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
