Rural Surveying Lead | Vacancy Reference: 59100 DM
*This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship - the successful applicant will need to have a pre-existing Right to Work in the UK in order to be offered an employment contract.*
We're on the lookout for a Rural Surveying Lead to take the reins in Shrewsbury. This isn't just a job-it's an opportunity to shape, grow, and champion a rural offering in a region full of potential.
You'll be equal parts strategist, rainmaker, mentor, and trusted advisor. Think less "desk-bound" and more "out there making things happen."
Are you ready to take full ownership of a rural offering and shape its future?
Are you looking for the opportunity to lead from the front and shape a team around you?
Are you confident leading on complex rural estates where no two days (or challenges) are the same?
The Company | Property and land consultancy with a soft spot for the countryside and a big appetite for growth. With a handful of offices across the Midlands and surrounding areas, this team blends expertise in planning, architecture, surveying, valuation, and consultancy-basically, if it touches land or property, they've got it covered.
Job Role and Responsibilities
* Becoming the go-to brain for all things rural surveying in the office
* Advising landowners, investors, and institutions on how to make their land work smarter (and harder)

* Spotting opportunities before they become obvious (and turning them into business wins)
* Rolling up your sleeves and delivering high-quality client work alongside the team
* Mentoring others and helping grow the next generation of rural experts
* Keeping one eye on compliance and the other on what's coming next in policy and legislation
* Making sure the team runs efficiently, profitably, and without unnecessary chaos
* Build a strong presence across Shropshire and beyond
* Grow networks with landowners, developers, and key players in the rural space
* Use your contacts and credibility to open doors (and keep them open)
* Shape and evolve service offerings-this isn't a "follow the template" kind of role
* Represent the business out in the wild (events, networking, industry circles)
