Senior Administrator - South Highland Area Location: Abernethy Contract: Permanent Hours: Part-Time, 0.7 FTE (26.5 hours per week) Salary: £25,847.00 - £27,594.00 Per Annum Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 26 days' Annual Leave (Pro-Rata) The RSPB is looking for two part-time administrators to join its team in the South Highland Area. Each role will be based at an RSPB reserve within the Cairngorms National Park - either Abernethy or Insh Marshes. You’ll be joining a team dedicated to protecting and restoring nature across the South Highland Area. About the Role This role provides comprehensive administrative support to teams across the South Highland Area. Key responsibilities include managing financial processes, coordinating travel and accommodation, supporting events, maintaining materials and equipment, and administering fleet vehicles - all to ensure staff and volunteers can work efficiently. The post-holder will oversee the day-to-day management of office environments, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and safe places to work. They will also support financial management and reporting, sharing budget responsibilities with Senior Managers. In addition, this role will lead on information management for the reserves and teams, and act as a key contact for suppliers and contractors in the procurement and delivery of goods and services. What we need from you: * At least 5 GCSE's, National’s or equivalent, including Maths and English. * Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint, plus the ability to impart this knowledge on to others. * Experience of budget management and reporting financial information. * Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person, to organise meetings and events. and coordinate all aspects of the meeting or event logistics. * Able to make the best use of time particularly when under pressure from competing priorities, prioritising and delegating tasks effectively. * Able to identify and act on opportunities for continually improving ways of working. * Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately. * Experience of providing administrative support within an organisation. * Experience of office management and maintaining a safe working environment by complying with health and safety codes of practice * At least two A-Levels, Advanced Highers or equivalent qualifications - Desirable * Driving Licence (Essential Abernethy, Desirable Insh Marshes) * Institute of Facilities Management qualification - Desirable * Knowledge of current conservation issues and priorities- Desirable * Working with Volunteers- Desirable * Experience of Data Entry- Desirable Closing date: 23:59, Mon, 7th Jul 2025 We are looking to conduct interviews for this position on the 16th and 17th of July.
