Position Summary
The Channel Solutions Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the 3-GIS partner ecosystem, acting as a technical advisor, escalation resource, and integration consultant for our channel partners. This role ensures partners can troubleshoot, support, and extend the capabilities of 3-GIS applications and Azure-based solutions for end customers.
While pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (PoC) environments remain a part of this role, the primary focus is technical enablement and solution architecture, ensuring partners can successfully implement, integrate, and manage 3-GIS solutions in cloud and Esri environments.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Enablement & Technical Escalation Support
* Serve as a technical escalation point for partners, helping them troubleshoot 3-GIS applications and Azure-based environments.
* Provide hands-on guidance in diagnosing and resolving issues, teaching partners how to effectively support their end customers.
* Develop troubleshooting frameworks, best practices, and knowledge base documentation to accelerate partner self-sufficiency.
API & Integration Facilitation
* Assist partners in integrating 3-GIS solutions into their existing systems through APIs.
* Work closely with developers, guiding them on API usage, authentication, and integration workflows via tools like Postman, Jabber, and scripting frameworks.
* Troubleshoot API interactions and help partners overcome integration challenges.
Proof-of-Concept & Environment Management
* Manage and maintain trial and proof-of-concept (PoC) environments, ensuring partners can evaluate and test 3-GIS solutions effectively.
* Guide partners in configuring, deploying, and optimizing cloud-based and Esri environments.
* Collaborate with partners to simulate real-world customer use cases in PoC deployments.
Technical Sales & Solution Consulting
* Support pre-sales activities such as demonstrations and partner-facing presentations, ensuring alignment between 3-GIS solutions and partner/customer needs.
* Act as a solution consultant, helping partners design scalable, efficient, and effective implementations of 3-GIS software.
* Educate partners on best practices for deploying, managing, and extending the 3-GIS platform.
Continuous Learning & Collaboration
* Stay up to date with Esri, AWS, and cloud technology advancements to provide relevant technical guidance.
* Collaborate with internal teams (product management, development, and partner management) to ensure partner feedback influences product evolution.
* Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, ensuring teams have visibility into partner challenges and solutions.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3-5 years of experience in GIS, telecommunications, or cloud-based software environments.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a consultative approach to working with partners.
* Experience working with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and related GIS solutions.
* Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar) and cloud-based deployment architectures.
* Hands-on experience with APIs, scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar), and integration tools like Postman.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel up to 35% as needed.
