Receptionist / Administrator
Location: Aberdeen
Hours: 17.5 hours per week (flexible to meet service needs)
Salary: £12.91 per hour
Overview of role
Scarf is seeking a Receptionist / Administrator to provide front-of-house and organisational support at our Aberdeen office. Working in a job share arrangement, you'll help ensure a safe, welcoming reception environment while supporting day-to-day administration, facilities coordination, and operational processes across the organisation.
This is a varied role requiring professionalism, strong organisation, and the ability to interact sensitively with visitors and service users, including vulnerable adults.
Main duties
Act as first point of contact for visitors and inbound calls to reception
Manage reception safely in line with safeguarding procedures
Provide administrative support across teams
Maintain accurate CRM and office records
Assist with meeting coordination and office logistics
Support facilities management and contractor coordination
Assist with compliance, audit preparation, and HSE records
Interact professionally with vulnerable adults and escalate concerns appropriately
Person specificationEssential
Experience in reception, administration, or customer-facing roles
Strong communication and organisational skills
Calm, professional approach in busy or sensitive situations
Competent IT skills and attention to confidentiality
Desirable
Experience in charity or support settings
Awareness of safeguarding or working with vulnerable adults
Facilities or compliance knowledge
Additional Information
