About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Art Director – Events & Activations to elevate Deel’s brand presence across every stage, space, and surface we show up on. From high-impact brand activations to strategic SKO experiences and global field marketing, this role is central to shaping how the world sees—and remembers—Deel.
As a key creative leader within the Brand & Creative team, you’ll own the visual and experiential direction of our event programs. You’ll partner closely with internal teams (Field Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, etc.) and external collaborators to create immersive, ownable, and memorable brand experiences that build awareness, engagement, and business impact.
You’re a hands-on creative who knows how to think big, craft bold ideas, and make them happen. You understand the power of storytelling through space, interaction, and environment—and you know how to bring it to life beautifully.
Responsibilities
1. Creative Concepting & Vision: Lead the development of original event concepts, themes, and creative visions that push the boundaries of B2B brand experience and align with strategic objectives.
2. Art Direction & Creative Leadership: Provide strong visual direction and guidance to internal creatives, freelancers, agencies, and production partners—ensuring high-quality, on-brand execution across all touchpoints.
3. Content Creation and Asset Management: Oversee the development of all creative assets required for event environments—from signage and spatial design to motion, video, interactive elements, swag, and beyond.
4. Experiential Innovation: Champion creative experimentation across IRL, virtual, and hybrid formats—including exploration of new technologies (AR/VR, AI-driven interactions, etc.) that enhance engagement.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across Field Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Comms, and other business units to ensure creative solutions meet objectives and KPIs.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Present creative concepts to partners and senior stakeholders, effectively communicating the vision and rationale.
7. End-to-End Oversight: Manage the creative process from brief to execution—keeping projects on time, on budget, and on vision.
8. Trendspotting: Stay ahead of trends in events, experiential marketing, and creative technology—bringing fresh ideas to the table and raising the bar on what a Deel experience can be.
Qualifications
9. 7–10+ years of experience in creative roles, with a strong focus on events, experiential marketing, and activations (agency or in-house).
10. A standout portfolio that showcases concept-led event work, brand activations, and immersive experiences that drive business results.
11. Proven ability to lead creative teams and external vendors, while rolling up your sleeves to contribute hands-on.
12. Deep understanding of spatial design, storytelling through experience, and audience-first thinking.
13. Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g. AR/VR, generative AI) and how they can enhance brand experiences.
14. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with marketing, sales, and production teams.
15. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant design tools.
16. A courageous, boundary-pushing creative mindset—with the discipline to bring ideas to life with excellence.
