What you’ll be responsible for
As Capital Senior Project Manager, you will:
* Provide leadership and direction to the delivery team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
* Fulfil the role of Project Manager as defined under NEC.
* Provide project management expertise for engineered solutions and support operational colleagues and strategic partners as needed.
* Ensure all projects comply with the latest CDM Regulations.
* Produce regular monthly reports on progress.
* Lead, motivate, and support internal Welsh Water colleagues and the wider Capital supply chain to deliver programmes aligned with Business Plans.
* Manage a programme of projects, including line management of Project Managers.
* Ensure projects meet statutory, regulatory, and financial requirements, demonstrating value for money, and adhere to commercial and procurement processes.
Ensure the business can meet its project delivery requirements within agreed timelines and budgets, supporting the delivery of the investment programme.
Assess project needs, define scope, perform optioneering, contribute to design, manage costs and contracts, procure services, oversee construction & delivery, and commission projects.
Identify and implement best practices in project delivery from the water sector and other construction industries.

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Degree or equivalent qualification with extensive water industry experience.
* NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety or equivalent.
* Proven experience in project management, leading capital projects, with knowledge of NEC and contract administration.
* Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and CDM Regulations.
* Strong project delivery and people management skills, with commercial awareness.
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and meet tight deadlines.

Participation in a standby rota is required.
Shortlisting by end of June 2025; interviews in July 2025.
