Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Proposal Engineer based in the Oadby, Leicestershire. In this position, you will prepare and write detailed project proposals, collaborate with sales and engineering teams, and incorporate customer requirements into tailored solutions. Tasks will include supporting procurement processes, ensuring feasibility of designs, and liaising with clients to deliver high‑quality technical and commercial proposals. Additionally, you will support the sales team in ensuring proposals align with client needs and company standards.
Qualifications
* Based in Leicestershire, England - daily commuting to Oadby required
* Proficiency in Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing, with attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience in Sales and client interaction to gather requirements and provide tailored solutions
* Knowledge of Procurement processes, including sourcing and vendor management
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or a related field
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients
* Familiarity with dust‑extraction and fume‑control systems is advantageous but not required
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused mindset
