Our client is looking for an experience Administrative Assistant/Officer
Within the team, we require two working days within the Civic Centre and three working days from home. This may differ initially to allow for appropriate training etc. The post is initially set for 6 weeks but may extend depending on the completion of a team structure which is currently out for consultation.
Experience of working in public sector administration or customer service
Experience in dealing with and resolving queries.
Experience of working in a busy office environment and supporting services which impact on the public

To provide administrative support to all aspects of the School Meals Contract, including Breakfast Clubs, by using IT systems to maintain and update records and track data trends and regularly report this information to the Education Support Services Manager.

* To collate and analyse information received in relation to the School Meals Contract through learner voice and stakeholder feedback activities and share this with the Education Support Services Manager to support improvements in provision.

* To be responsible for the administration of the separate Nursery and Key Stage One School Milk schemes, liaising with schools to ensure that order values are correct so that the Council can be fully reimbursed for all costs incurred.

* To process and administer Fixed Penalty Notices on behalf of schools.
*
* To undertake administrative support to the Education Welfare Service in relation to elective home education, and the issuing of child performance licences, child employment licences and chaperone licences.
*
* To operate the Council’s agreed financial systems and processes for Creditors and Debtors to ensure that arrangements for ordering and receipting goods and services, recovery of debts and dealing with payment enquiries align with Corporate expectations.

* To provide support to schools where necessary by collating data and sharing information in relation to a range of statutory responsibilities and functions including Emergency Planning, School Closures and Education Trips & Visits.

* To provide support for a range of engagement opportunities with internal stakeholders, such as half-termly Headteacher meetings, the New Headteacher Induction Programme, the Deputy Headteacher Network and Professional Discussions. These responsibilities will include arranging, preparing for and attending meetings, and taking minutes.
