Key Account Manager – Healthcare
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Key Account Manager to take ownership of key client relationships within the healthcare sector, overseeing partnerships from inception through to successful delivery. The ideal candidate will ensure service excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with both client and patient care objectives, while driving commercial growth and profitability. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and high-quality outcomes.
Key Experience
Proven experience in healthcare account management, with a strong record of improving client satisfaction and service outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Take full commercial and operational ownership of healthcare client relationships, managing P&L and ensuring pricing and profitability align with contractual and financial targets.
* Provide oversight of service delivery and operations, monitoring SLA adherence, KPI variance, and client satisfaction surveys
* Prepare and lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, chairing client meetings as needed
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support project management for new business introductions or client projects
* Drive account evolution and growth through strategic planning and identifying opportunities for additional solutions
* Proactively identify and address risks and issues, developing mitigation plans and contingencies as needed
* Manage and resolve account escalations in a timely manner
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team committed to client satisfaction and healthcare excellence.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements (e.g., NHS standards, CQC, GDPR for health data), and contractual governance.
* Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of developing and motivating teams
* Customer- and patient-centric mindset, with a focus on building trusted, long-term relationships.
* Proficient in project management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
