A caring and community-driven secondary school on the outskirts of Hereford is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026.
About the Role
You will play a vital role in maintaining high levels of student attendance, liaising closely with pastoral leads, families and external agencies.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality using the school MIS
* Making first-day absence calls and logging outcomes
* Producing weekly and termly attendance reports for leaders
* Organising attendance meetings and supporting attendance action plans
* Working with vulnerable students alongside the safeguarding team
* Supporting reward initiatives that promote excellent attendance
