About Us
Homes2Inspire is part of Shaw Trust, one of the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprises and a leading provider of children's residential care. We operate nearly 60 homes nationwide and are committed to creating safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments where children and young people can thrive. Our work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, positive relationships, and a strong focus on helping children feel safe, valued, and understood.
As part of our growth, we are strengthening our Learning & Development offer to ensure our teams have the skills, confidence, and mindset to deliver exceptional care.
The Role
You will design and deliver impactful training programmes that equip our teams with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide high-quality, child-centred care. Acting as both a subject matter expert and a cultural ambassador for Homes2Inspire, you will foster a learning environment that promotes continuous improvement, reflective practice, and professional development.
Beyond delivering training, you will work closely with managers to identify learning needs, tailor development plans, and ensure training is fully embedded in day-to-day practice.
What You'll Do
Design and deliver engaging training that empowers teams to provide exceptional care.
Ensure best practice in safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and regulatory compliance.
Run interactive training sessions and develop tailored programmes aligned to organisational needs.
Provide coaching, guidance, and support to help staff embed learning effectively.
Monitor outcomes, evaluate impact, and refine training to maintain quality and compliance.
What We're Looking For
Experience in Learning & Development or training within the care or education sector.
A relevant training qualification (desirable), such as:
Level 3 Award in Education and Training
Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
Or other recognised teaching/training qualifications
Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Home Regulations, and Ofsted expectations.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Ability to design and deliver training using varied and inclusive methods.
A passion for reflective practice, learning, and staff development.
What We Offer
3 weeks of paid, comprehensive training before you start delivering.
25 days of annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with service).
Access to a wide range of employee benefits and retail discounts.
24/7 well-being support, including free counselling sessions.
Please Note
All successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment safer recruitment checks in line with Ofsted requirements and the Homes2Inspire Safer Recruitment Policy.
We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and interviews may take place before the advertised closing date.
At Homes2Inspire, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workforce. We strongly encourage applications from Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic communities and welcome people with lived experience, including experience of disability or social exclusion.
We are proud to offer guaranteed interviews for care-experienced applicants who meet the minimum requirements for the role-please indicate this in your application if it applies to you.
Male staff are currently under-represented in our residential services, and we encourage applications from men who are interested in supporting children and young people.
