As a Barclays C# Developer, you will be part of Market Risk Technology that develops systems calculating daily Value at Risk and other risk measures for Barclays, supporting the Risk Management group in their daily activities. The team is developing a new strategic risk calculation platform called Variance, catering to all asset classes. It provides risk managers and trading desks with risk and stress information through reports and an interactive Python environment.

We offer a hybrid working model that combines onsite presence with remote work. Employees are expected to work onsite on fixed, 'anchor' days, at least two days per week, with arrangements to be discussed with the hiring manager. What will you be doing?
1. Gathering development work, quality control, and user support
2. Driving technical solutions and project work
3. Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle
4. Reporting progress to the development lead during daily Scrum meetings
5. Assisting users with problems as they arise
What we’re looking for:
* Strong development skills in F# and/or C#
* Practical experience in project delivery
* Good time management, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels
Skills that will help you in the role:
* Familiarity with UI/Web development
* Experience with functional languages such as F#, Scala, Haskell, or Clojure
* Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB
* Experience working in an Investment Bank
