Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase includes designing and building a 15GWh lithium-ion battery plant, along with ancillary structures and external works.
This Package Manager role focuses on managing concrete work packages within our £800m project.

The Package Manager - Concrete Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee trade-contractor packages within the infrastructure and substructure team. You will lead a team of engineers and subcontractors to deliver the project safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
We are seeking someone who:
* Takes ownership of their package, ensuring all works are planned, safe, and the site within their scope is clean and organized.
* Has a hands-on approach to promote safety leadership and ensure works are carried out safely and as planned.
* Plans and manages logistical requirements, liaising with the Works Manager and Logistics Contractor.
* Prepares short-term programs and phase plans to accelerate work or address issues, ensuring on-time delivery.
* Monitors progress and performance, analyzing trends and reporting implications to the Project Manager and package planner.
* Collaborates with team members and considers the overall project context.
* Ensures technical compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
* Reviews and approves Inspection and Test Plans.
* Conducts quality inspections using FieldView.
* Manages technical submittals and RFIs within their scope.
* Ensures scope and subcontract requirements are met, understanding SRM obligations.
* Records key activities and promotes SRM Build Sure culture.
Your Profile
* Strong leadership skills
* Experience managing multi-million-pound building projects
* Proven track record with structural steelwork and façade packages on high-profile projects
* Experience managing subcontractors for steel fabrication and façade installation
* Ability to lead progress meetings and provide detailed reports
* Procurement experience, negotiating with suppliers
* Close collaboration with design and engineering teams
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and managing site activities
* Familiarity with NEC contracts, Early Warning Notices, and Compensation Events
* Good knowledge of building products, construction details, and standards
* Experience with construction software such as FieldView, 4P, Dalux, and Asta is desirable
