Business Development Executive

Part Time, Permanent
Salary: £17,304 per annum + 15% bonus + 34p per mile
Working: 22.5 hours per week; flexible days (Monday - Friday)
Location: Scotland - ideal locations are Glasgow/Edinburgh
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll promote the Tetley Consumer Products brands, including Tetley, Good Earth, and Teapigs ranges.
You’ll develop and grow distribution within your area, take ownership of your region, and focus on expanding new business, exploring opportunities, and closing distribution gaps. You will also serve as a brand ambassador for Tetley Consumer Products.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Targeting wholesale and foodservice sales personnel to identify new business opportunities
* Conducting strategic depot calls to explore or deliver targeted opportunities
* Engaging with Teapigs independent end operators based on business needs and developing new leads
* Attending wholesale central order meetings where necessary
* Negotiating local terms where applicable
* Closing distribution gaps in the core range across your account base
* Identifying and recruiting new business aligned with sales strategy
* Engaging multisite retailers/end operators to convert them to Tata Consumer Products' core range
* Exploring new wholesale customer opportunities
* Participating in tactical activities as required
* Attending trade shows and business development events locally and at buying groups
* Participating in annual joint business planning, especially with foodservice and larger CRG members
* Managing local trade budgets
Qualifications and skills required:
* Experience in developing new business leads
* Ability to identify opportunities within various scenarios
* Understanding of wholesale and on-trade sectors
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills to manage your territory
* Drive to succeed and grow in the role
We offer:
* A basic salary of £17,304 (full-time equivalent £28,800) plus a 15% bonus based on KPIs
* Mileage paid at 34p per mile
