We're looking for an experienced, time-served Motor Technician to step into a Repair Assessor role and bring their technical expertise into a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

You'll be responsible for reviewing repair requests, validating claims against warranty policies, and ensuring every outcome is fair, accurate, and clearly communicated. Alongside this, you'll work closely with repairers, Customer Service, and independent engineers to keep the repair journey running smoothly for our customers.

Responsibilities Reviewing repair requests across warranty, cosmetic, tyre, and alloy claims
Assessing whether repairs are covered in line with policy terms and conditions
Analysing evidence such as images, diagnostics, and repairer reports
Validating repairs and making decisions on approvals, declines, or alternative solutions
Authorising smaller claims (up to £2,500) and managing approvals within agreed limits
Escalating higher-value or more complex cases where required
Interpreting warranty plans and determining claim eligibility
Ensuring all decisions align with technical criteria and policy coverage
Coordinating repairs and directing cases to the right repair partners
Working closely with repairers to resolve issues and avoid delays
Escalating concerns where repairs fall outside expected standards or timelines
About You A time-served Motor Technician with strong hands-on experience
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or similar
Solid understanding of general mechanical repairs and diagnostics
Experience within a warranty environment is highly desirable
Someone confident assessing repairs and making decisions against policy terms
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
A clear communicator who can explain technical decisions to different audiences
A proactive, team-focused approach with a desire to progress
