Sanctuary Care is a leading provider of 109 nursing and residential care homes across England and Scotland, providing high quality care services to the elderly, including residential, nursing, respite and dementia care. We support over 4,800 residents and employ over 7,300 staff.

To support us with the next stage of our growth agenda, we are seeking a new visionary Director of Operations to lead and inspire our operational teams ensuring they are focussed on delivering and sustaining exemplary standards of person-centred care alongside the achievement of key financial, people and quality indicators.
As a natural leader, you will continue to build and maintain an inclusive culture aligned to Sanctuary's Corporate Values. You will also represent Sanctuary at a local, regional and national level, ensuring that we influence, contribute and represent the needs of the sector to ensure future sustainability and viability.
With a keen passion for business transformation, you will actively identify, research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue and improve operating margin whilst maintaining quality services that remain competitive.
Working collaboratively with Group support and operational teams, you will ensure that future strategies and service provision are tailored and developed to the needs of care and continually evolved to reflect industry standards and best practice.
In addition, you will also be registered as the Nominated Individual with CQC In England and CI Scotland, ensuring the safe and effective monitoring of quality standards and that appropriate risk management strategies and tools are in place.
The essential requirements for this role are:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline;
* Proven experience in a Senior Leadership position;
* Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing actionable strategic business plans;
* A strong understanding of finance and measures of performance with a high level of business awareness and acumen;
* Successful track record of achieving company growth projections and targets in a dynamic and competitive environment;
* Extensive experience within health and social care;
* Thorough understanding of UK regulatory requirements (CQC and CI), and experience of working with health and social care regulators.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Full UK driving license, with the ability to travel throughout the UK as required
