Hilger Crystals has a well-established history and proven reputation for producing high-quality, commercial-grade synthetic scintillation crystals used in infrared spectroscopy and state-of-the-art detection solutions used within various sectors. We are currently recruiting for a Crystal Processor role within the Arrays department. You will be responsible for processing various crystal materials using CNC machines, saws, hand finishing & casting / curing or material. The role is a full-time permanent position, following a successful probation period. 37 hours per week Mon - Thurs: 8am - 5pm Friday: 8am - 12pm Overtime may be available, paid at 1.5x hourly rate or 2x on Bank Holidays Main Responsibilities: Cut, saw, lap & process variouscrystalmaterials Use CNC / saws to dice crystals and have basic programming experience Cast and cure variousepoxy materials Add foils to arrays Test and inspect product using metrology to specifications Documentprocess and quality criteria in MRPsystem To ensure that daily production and quality targets are met within the work area. Ensure all Health and Safety procedures in the work area are observed and followed and that relevant PPE is worn at all times. Ensure housekeeping duties are carried out and work area and machinery are kept at the agreed standard.
