We are seeking a lively, reliable, and committed Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury team at our newly opened Oldham office. This is a fully office based position and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in law, with clear progression opportunities to a Claims Handler role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Assisting fee earners within the Personal Injury department
* Answering incoming telephone calls from clients and third parties in a professional and courteous manner
* Dealing with client queries where appropriate and ensuring matters are passed on correctly
* Taking accurate and detailed messages and relaying them promptly
* Chasing liability updates from insurers and third parties
* Updating clients on the progress of their claims
* Drafting legal and non-legal correspondence
* Speaking with new clients and taking initial claim details
* Performing vetting and compliance checks
* Accurately inputting information onto the case management system
* Maintaining strict data confidentiality at all times
* General office duties including incoming and outgoing post
About You
* Professional, friendly, and approachable
* Reliable, committed, and well‑organised
* A strong team player with a positive attitude
* Confident and clear when communicating with clients by phone and in writing
* Literate with strong written English and good computer skills
Experience
* Previous claims handling, legal assistant, or similar experience in a related field is preferred, but not essential
* Experience within personal injury or legal services will be an advantage
