Head of Mental Health Services, Alabare
We are looking for a strong leader with an excellent mental health background and experience of NHS contracts.
In this role you will support a creative and dynamic team across Wiltshire, delivering daytime services, a Place of Calm evening service and Crisis Houses in partnership with Second Step and Missing Link.
The role is full time, based mainly at the Head Office in Salisbury, and you will be part of the Heads of Service Team contributing to the organisational strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the mental health services across Wiltshire including daytime, evening and crisis care.
* Develop and implement service improvement plans, safety and quality standards.
* Work with NHS and third sector partners to ensure integrated, person‑centred care.
* Oversee financial budgets, workforce development and resourcing strategies.
* Analyse and report on performance data and support continuous improvement.
* Engage with staff, service users and stakeholders to co‑produce services.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in health, social care, housing or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Professional registration in a mental health field (e.g. RMN, Social Work, OT, Psychology) is desirable.
* Significant experience in the mental health sector, including NHS and third‑sector partnerships.
* Strong knowledge of the housing and social care landscape.
* Proven experience managing financial budgets and delivering service transformation.
* Experience of multi‑agency, matrix‑managed environments and service mobilisation.
* Experience of workforce development and resourcing strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and people‑management skills.
* IT literacy and familiarity with data systems and quality improvement tools.

Remuneration
Annual Salary £46,527.00 rising to £50,232.00 after probation. Hourly rate £23.86 - £25.76.
