Job Type: Full time, Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00PM (40 hours on site) – flexibility will be required

Location: Paragon House, Chesterfield

A forward thinking and ambitious family business are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, organised, and pro-active Customer Account Manager to build and maintain customer relationships, upsell, onboard new business wins, and drive sales.

Role Purpose:

To develop and maintain customer relationships to increase revenue and drive meaningful sales whilst performing administrative duties to support the sales process.

The job:

It is anticipated that the post-holder will most influence the job purpose by:

·Managing existing and new customers using an organised, planned approach.

·Where required, process orders on the system to ensure timely management of customer SLAs.

·Effectively utilising the Company’s ERP systems to provide useful, transparent management information, and informing key decisions on sales strategy and tactics.

·Maximise sales to all customers through account analysis and targeting relevant product / category opportunities to meet monthly sales budgets utilising all data sources available including Excel, Hubspot and the company ERP.

·Understanding products, sectors and customers, while continually developing the company’s knowledge base in these areas.

·Proactively visit customers to retain the accounts.

·Inbound & Outbound calls to manage customer accounts.

·Work hand in hand with the warehouse operations team to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and in full including ongoing support of all administrative functions relevant to role.

·Liaise with the wider sales team to produce customer forecasts including seasonality.

·Introducing existing customers to new products.

·Onboard new non-strategic accounts within the local vicinity to help us outwardly grow.

·Work with the Head of Business Development & BDMs to transfer new accounts into business as usual, ensuring great customer service thereafter.

·As appropriate, schedule account reviews and produce tangible outputs such as KPIs, SLA, actions and minutes.

·Assist and take ownership of client requests or issues and facilitate escalations as needed

·Contributing positively to the sales result by delivering against personal targets for profitable sales from new and existing customers.

About You:

Ambitious and able to see the big picture, with a willingness to learn new skills and put them to the test. As a key member of the Sales Team, you can influence at a senior level and possess excellent communication and analytical skills while being able to work on your own initiative. You can adapt to different styles and adapt your work to provide detail to suit the audience, whether it be internally or externally. You are hungry to drive change and not afraid to break boundaries to push the agenda. You want to be involved and always seek to find the solution to problems put your way, whether it be driven out of collaboration, silo efforts, or working with customers. Relationship building and accuracy are professional traits you pride yourself on. You’re competent with technology, keen to learn about innovative products, and have had strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite - particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

·5+ years’ experience in similar roles

·Familiarity with CRM & ERP tools

·Team player with excellent verbal & written communication skills

·Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Packages, with bias towards Excel & PowerPoint

·Experience with data analysis and presentation of data

·Ability to confidently present on video and in person to groups of people

·Driving license
