Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. It is essential this candidate can use methods such as skimming, prepping walls and painting to a high standard. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and attention to detail. A valid driving licence is essential for this position, as you will be required to travel to different job sites.
Successful applicant will mainly work alone and be sent to jobs, therefore they will have to be able to work indipendantly and follow instructions in a written down format.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes
* Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications
* Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while on-site
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients throughout the project
* Be able to show indipendance when working alone.
Experience
* Proven experience in construction painting or a similar role
* Strong understanding of different painting techniques and materials
* Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
* Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and team members
* A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites
