Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Overview:
* Proactive and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer supporting production efficiency and process improvement. Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimise manufacturing processes and output. Help drive continuous improvement and ensure safe, cost-effective, and high-quality operations
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows
* Identify inefficiencies and introduce solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste
* Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth transition into production
* Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to shop floor teams
* Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve overall performance
* Ensure processes comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
* Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methods (e.g. Lean)
* Ability to analyse data and solve technical problems effectively
* Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
* Familiarity with CAD or manufacturing systems is advantageous
