Secondary Support Assistant – Tower Hamlets
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Salary: £90-110 per day (PAYE)
Want to support young people who are finding their feet in secondary school? We’re working with a vibrant, well-led school in Tower Hamlets that’s looking for a Secondary Support Assistant who can bring patience, positivity, and a steady presence to the classroom.
You’ll be part of a friendly, proactive team that genuinely looks after one another. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key role in helping students stay engaged, confident, and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting students in lessons across a mix of subjects
2. Providing targeted help to pupils who need an extra boost
3. Assisting teachers with behaviour, routines, and classroom activities
4. Building strong relationships that help students stay calm and focused
5. Supporting small group work or short interventions where needed
What they’re looking for
6. Experience working with young people aged 11 to 16
7. A calm, confident communicator who can hold their own in a busy classroom
8. Someone who’s reliable, encouraging, and quick to build rapport
9. Any SEND or behaviour support experience is very welcome

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
