Service Manager – Children’s Residential 6-12 month contract North West Council £450 - £500 per day (DoE) Inside IR35 (via umbrella) Hybrid working (up to 3 days per week onsite) We’re partnering with a forward-thinking Local Authority in the North West to recruit an experienced Service Manager for Children’s Residential Services. This is a pivotal leadership role with strategic and operational responsibility for two children’s homes, an edge of care service, and a diverse supported accommodation offer—including the House Project, Supported Lodgings, and Staying Put arrangements. Acting as the Responsible Individual and registering with Ofsted, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, nurturing environments and driving continuous improvement across all services as part of a major transformation programme. Key Responsibilities Act as the Responsible Individual for the Council’s children’s homes, registering with Ofsted. Provide strategic and operational leadership for:- Two children’s homes A reputable Edge of Care service A Post-18 Supported accommodation offer (House Project, Supported Lodgings, Staying Put) Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, creating safe, nurturing environments for children and young people.
