We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes. As a Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new dishes
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices
* Assist in the presentation of meals, ensuring they are served attractively
Experience
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation
* Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
