Telecom Designer – Contract Opportunity
We are currently supporting a global EPC in their search for an experienced Telecom Designer to join a high-profile project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the execution of FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) deliverables within a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Role Overview
As a Telecom Designer, you will be responsible for delivering project work in line with discipline design instructions and company procedures. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety, quality control, and adherence to budget and schedule targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute FEED deliverables in accordance with project scope and standards.
* Design telecommunication networks including voice, data, video systems, PAGA, ACS, and CCTV.
* Plan network infrastructure: routers, switches, servers, fibre optics, wireless networks, and cabling layouts.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation: network diagrams, configuration details, wiring schematics, and operational manuals.
* Support telecom task delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines and governance standards.
* Conduct design reviews and audits, promoting a “Right-First-Time” approach.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.
* Utilise design and modelling tools such as AutoCAD and network simulation software.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in telecom design within onshore FEED or similar project phases.
* Strong understanding of telecom systems and infrastructure.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design/simulation tools.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with external stakeholders.
