We are seeking caring and resilient Waking Night Support Workers to join a children’s residential home in Chesterfield. You will play a vital role in keeping young people safe, supported, and reassured overnight in a therapeutic setting.
This role is about much more than supervision — it’s about providing calm, consistent support, ensuring the home remains a safe, nurturing environment, and preparing for the following day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a calm, consistent, and reassuring presence overnight
* Support children and young people with emotional needs and routines
* Respond sensitively to disturbances or incidents during the night
* Complete cleaning, laundry, and safety checks
* Ensure safeguarding and fire safety procedures are followed
* Work closely with day staff to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
* Caring, patient, and resilient nature with a passion for supporting children
* Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations
* Flexibility to work waking night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays)
* Experience welcome, but not essential — training and support provided
