Overview
A well-established national property services and compliance contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor / Supervisor to support projects across the East Anglia region.
Responsibilities
* Conduct surveys of fire doors, fire stopping systems and compartmentation lines across social housing, healthcare, education and public sector buildings.
* Provide guidance and support to installation teams, ensuring that all work meets passive fire protection standards while maintaining high levels of quality and safety on projects.
* Provide supervision and technical guidance to fire door and fire stopping teams, helping to identify issues and ensuring works are delivered in line with compliance standards and industry best practice.
* Carry out minor remedial adjustments where required, such as replacing or adjusting door closers, locks or letterplates.
* Record survey findings using a digital inspection platform on a tablet device.
* Travel across multiple locations throughout the East Anglia region.
Qualifications
* Minimum of three years’ experience surveying fire doors and/or passive fire protection systems.
* Background as a fire door installer or fire stopper is highly beneficial.
* Strong knowledge of passive fire regulations, certification requirements and compliance standards.
* Familiarity with certification schemes such as FIRAS or BMT RAD is preferred.
* Comfortable using digital inspection and reporting systems, with training provided if needed.
* Good IT skills, a full UK driving licence and your own basic hand tools required.
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification would be advantageous.
* Positive attitude and the ability to work independently when required.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
* Capability to work at height, confined spaces and manual handling where necessary.
