Bid Writer – Community Care Flexible DOE (up to £40,000) Discretionary Performance Bonus Our client is a leading provider of high-quality community care services, supporting people to live independently in their own homes. They partner with local authorities, NHS organisations, and private clients to deliver safe, person-centred care. To strengthen their growth and success in tendering, they are seeking an experienced Bid Writer with strong sector knowledge and commissioner relationships. The Bid Writer will be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling, and compliant tender submissions for community, domiciliary, and complex care services. The successful candidate must bring proven experience in the sector and established relationships with commissioners to maximise successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Research, analyse, and qualify tender opportunities across community, domiciliary, and complex care. Write, edit, and proofread clear, persuasive, and tailored responses to tender questions. Collaborate with internal care, operations, and finance teams to gather evidence, data, and case studies. Manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring compliance with commissioner requirements. Maintain and update a central library of standard responses, policies, and supporting documents. Leverage commissioner relationships to gather intelligence and strengthen bid positioning. Review tender feedback and apply lessons learned to improve future submissions. Ensure all bids reflect CQC standards, best practice, and local authority commissioning frameworks. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience writing successful bids for community, domiciliary, and/or complex care services. Strong existing relationships with commissioners (local authority, NHS, or ICB). Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and compliance. Ability to interpret tender specifications and evaluation criteria. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, able to meet strict deadlines. Strong collaboration and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams. Desirable Skills & Experience Knowledge of CQC standards and social care regulations. Familiarity with bid management tools, content libraries, or e-procurement portals. Understanding of outcome-based care and quality assurance frameworks.
