What will the role involve?
As the Residential Children's Home Manager, you will lead and oversee the management of a children's residential home in the Liverpool area. Your role will encompass service delivery, strategic leadership & people management, regulatory compliance, resource oversight, and continuous quality & service development.
Key Responsibilities for Our Children's Home Registered Manager
* Responsibility for the management of services, staff supervision, care and placement planning, safeguarding, communication, report writing, and monitoring quality and compliance.
* Ensure full implementation of statutory and organisational policies and procedures, providing feedback on their effectiveness.
* Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements such as the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, Children Act 1989, Data Protection Act 1998, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.
* Develop constructive working relationships within the wider community to promote outcomes for looked after children.
* Ensure staff have the necessary skills, experience, and qualifications to meet each child's needs, providing continuity of care.
* Lead and manage the home in an aspirational, inspiring manner for children, young people, and staff.
* Produce monitoring reports, statistical data, and evaluations as required, within organisational policies and deadlines.
* Embed principles of equality and diversity into the home’s culture.
* Ensure individual care and care planning tailored to each child's needs.
* Maintain professional relationships with the team around the child, multi-agency partners, and stakeholders.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* At least three years’ experience working with children in the last five years, including one year at a senior level.
* Supervision or management experience.
* Experience working with children, young people, and their families.
* Knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and legislation.
* Understanding of the needs of looked after children and how to meet them.
* Leadership skills to inspire and develop staff teams.
* Ability to manage stress and demonstrate emotional resilience.
* Administrative skills for day-to-day management tasks.
* Ability to promote equality, diversity, and rights.
Schedule:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary & bonus scheme.
