A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Generator Assembly Lead Supervisor, you will lead the technical delivery of generator assembly projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality outcomes for our customers. Based within the Generator Assembly department, you will work on some of the largest generators and synchronous condensers in the Siemens Energy portfolio, ranging from 10MW to 900MW.
You’ll lead and support craft teams on critical assembly activities, working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to deliver complex projects efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead day-to-day generator assembly activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery.
2. Champion a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all assembly operations.
3. Ensure in-process quality standards and procedures are consistently followed.
4. Allocate work, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance to craft teams.
5. Develop and support team capability through coaching and performance management.
6. Coordinate resources, tooling, and materials to support efficient production.
7. Work closely with Project Management and Engineering to manage programmes, critical paths, and technical issues.
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost, delivery, and flexibility.
9. Authorise certification and release of completed products in line with company procedures.
10. Use SAP and other business systems for time recording and production tracking.
11. Support occasional travel for training or project requirements when needed.
What You Bring
12. Strong technical background in generator assembly, build, or servicing.
13. Time-served Winder or Electrical Fitter, or equivalent practical experience.
14. Proven experience leading teams within a manufacturing or service environment.
15. Good understanding of quality processes and the importance of procedural compliance.
16. Ability to interpret project plans, schedules, and critical paths.
17. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
18. A proactive, forward-thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

20. Willingness to learn and use SAP for production and time recording.
