Senior Associate / Legal Director - Succession & Tax - Swindon - 6+ Years PQE

Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 (dependent on experience)
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its busy Succession & Tax team in Swindon. This is an exciting progression opportunity for an ambitious lawyer seeking partnership, with responsibility for leading and supervising a dedicated team while contributing to business development activities across the Thames Valley and Hampshire.
The Role
You’ll manage a varied caseload, including:
* Providing tax and estate planning advice to high net worth and ultra‑high net worth clients
* Advising farmers and business owners on succession planning
* Managing complex probate and estate administration matters
* Advising on the creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
* Providing advice on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters
* Supporting and supervising junior members of staff
* Driving business development and contributing to the firm's growth strategy
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with higher rights and significant experience in private client work, including:
* Tax and estate planning expertise for a broad range of clients
* Experience managing complex probate and estate administration matters
* Knowledge of trust creation, restructuring and winding up
* Expertise in Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
* Succession planning experience with farmers and business owners (highly desirable)
* Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and nurture junior staff
* Strong business development skills and ability to generate referrals
* Exemplary client service and relationship‑building skills
* STEP Membership or working towards it
