Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Are you a positive, motivated individual interested in supporting vulnerable adults to live their best lives?
At St. James's Court in Inverurie, we support individuals with various needs to live independently in their flats. The individuals range from 22 to 60 years old and enjoy activities like walking football, rugby, bowling, discos, live music, and socializing in the garden bar.
Our team also provides support with medication, cooking, home maintenance, social activities, and financial management. We work 7 days a week, with shifts from Monday to Sunday, including some sleepover shifts. Typical shifts include:
* 7am - 9am
* 9am - 3pm
* 7am - 12 noon
* 7am - 3pm
* 5.30pm - 10pm
* 3pm - 10pm
We are recruiting for a 35-hour post.
Your values:
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care, with experience in mental health, autism, sensory communication, and physical health. If you lack a qualification, experience in social care is required.
You should connect well with people, be passionate about supporting independence, and be a great mentor to colleagues. We will support your development with specialist training, including Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment, you will meet the people we support in their homes to understand their personalities and needs.
