We’re hiring a Public Cloud Assistant Infrastructure Engineer to join our Public Cloud Services Lab, supporting the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud platforms across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

About the team
The Public Cloud Services Lab delivers centrally managed cloud services focused on:
* Security, resilience, and scalability
* Infrastructure as Code and automation
* Platform engineering and developer enablement
* AI‑driven efficiency and modern cloud tooling
We build reusable, easy‑to‑consume cloud platforms that help teams deliver and scale services quickly.
Key responsibilities
* Assist in designing, building and operating cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities
* Support delivery using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
* Help implement secure‑by‑design principles across cloud environments
* Contribute to observability, monitoring, and performance optimisation
* Support incident management and root cause analysis for live cloud systems
* Enable API‑first delivery through reusable patterns and integration tooling
* Work with engineers and architects to evolve cloud platforms and services
* Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
What we’re looking for
Core skills
* Experience or exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP or AWS)
* Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and automation concepts
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Understanding of containers and orchestration (Kubernetes)
* Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell
* Knowledge of cloud fundamentals (compute, networking, identity & access management)
* Strong problem‑solving mindset and desire to learn
Cloud knowledge (GCP exposure preferred)
* Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
* Cloud Load Balancing
* Cloud Armor
* Cloud Monitoring / Stackdriver
Desirable experience
* API management (e.g. Apigee)
* CI/CD tooling (e.g. Harness, GitHub Actions)
* Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana)
* Container tooling (Docker, Buildah, Podman)
* Exposure to Node.js or API tooling
* Relevant cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS)
