Your role: Join our Organisational Development team to shape the council's new era of Progress with Unity. Using a variety of different types of media, you will creatively communicate our key missions and six ways of working to ensure our workforce work collaboratively towards shared goals. As a Content Creator, you will support the efficient and effective provision of a first class design service. Working in the Internal Communications and Staff Engagement Team, you will produce a wide range of publicity and marketing materials and information for Wigan Council in multiple formats including print and digital. You will also be assisting in organising council wide events. About you: You will have an eagerness to learn, try new things and be courageous in your approaches to our creative media. You will also be responsible for sourcing and researching new communication tools to conclude if they work alongside our existing communications offer. You will have an understanding of social media and how it can be used in a timely and effective way. You will also possess an excellent understanding and knowledge of graphic design and its applications, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign as well as an excellent understanding of motion and video software, including Adobe Premiere. You will be working with colleagues from across the organisation as well as our Senior Management Team, so excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
