Job Description
A prominent and dynamic water treatment company with a large presence across the country and a commitment to providing professional services to a mixed portfolio of clients is actively seeking a high calibre and multi-skilled Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in the Slough area, including applications from Uxbridge, Windsor, Hayes and surrounding areas.
Must be City & Guilds qualified, competent in Microsoft Office, possess good written and verbal communication skills, plumbing experience, IT literate, and have significant demonstrable experience within the water treatment/water hygiene industry, including tank cleaning, disinfections, cooling towers, acid descales, sampling, flushing, closed systems and plumbing. Must also be conversant with current guidelines (ACOP L8).
Responsibilities
* Attending sites and carrying out testing on closed and domestic systems
* Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cooling water systems, cooling towers, and closed and domestic sampling checks
* Cleaning/disinfecting cooling water systems
* Performing other plumbing work as required by the client
* Conducting closed system analysis
* Flushing water systems
* Inspecting and descaling acid scale
* Conducting temperature monitoring, routine sampling, analysing water systems, and interpreting results
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as required
* Maintaining paperwork and ensuring all work is completed effectively and within time frames
* Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers
Qualifications
* Discipline: Water Treatment Engineers/Plumbers
* City & Guilds qualification
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Plumbing experience
* IT literate
* Significant demonstrable experience in water treatment/water hygiene industry
* Knowledge of ACOP L8 guidelines
